Drivers who use Indy’s south side could be in for some delays. On Sunday night, road crews started work on the eastbound loop ramp from I-465 on to northbound I-65. The ramp is closed. Drivers are advised to use the Southport Road exit instead to get around. That’s the latest word. Indiana Transportation managers say the ramp closure is just the first of three projects in that area.

Investigators may soon have more answers about the death of an Indianapolis woman found on a sandbar in Columbus. An autopsy for animal advocate Jacqueline Watts is scheduled for today. Police say her body was found in Flat Rock River Saturday morning. Her vehicle was found Friday evening, running with the emergency lights on and her belongings still inside. Officials say Watts was in Columbus to drop her dogs off at her parents’ home. There’s a press conference scheduled today, according to WTHR-TV. First reports say no foul play believed in this case, more will be revealed when police talk to the press.

Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a shooting involving one of its officers. Officials say early Sunday morning, a man came out of the Run Inn Bar and Grill and started firing a gun in the parking lot.  Officials say he then pointed his gun at an officer, who shot the man in the hand. That officer has been placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure for an officer involved in a shooting, while the investigation is pending. The man was taken to the hospital and later transferred to the Arrestee Processing Center.

Trump Meets With Small Business Leaders At White House

President Donald Trump is back at the White House, where he may sign a revised travel ban order today. The president just spent his fifth straight weekend at his Florida estate Mara Lago. Trump is continuing to defend his assertion that the Obama administration wiretapped phones at Trump Tower during what he referred to as the very sacred election process.” He also provided zero proof for his claim.

Sen. Jeff Sessions Testifies At His Senate Confirmation Hearing To Become Country's Attorney General

Attorney General Jeff Sessions goes before the Senate Judiciary Committee today. He’ll be answering questions and providing amended testimony after Democratic members called his confirmation process “incomplete and misleading.” They want Sessions to explain why he did not disclose his conversations with the Russian ambassador before the election. The Dems contend that Sessions lied under oath and want him to resign.

Thousands in Selma are remembering the 52nd anniversary of the Bloody Sunday march that led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Marchers crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge on Sunday to cap a full weekend of Selma Jubilee celebrations. Attendees of the march included Civil Rights Leader, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Democratic Congresswoman Terri Sewell and Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill.

2015 NFL Scouting Combine

The NFL Scouting Combine for 2017 comes to a close today here in downtown Indy at Lucas Oil Stadium.   The defensive backs take the field today and are the final group of players to work out. The NFL Draft kicks off on April 27 in Philadelphia. The Colts lost a coin flip over the weekend to the Eagles which will now put them in the spot of choosing 15th overall in Philly.

The Pacers stunned the Hawks, Sunday night in Atlanta, with a three-pointer with less than a second left on the clock by Glenn Robinson, III, to win 97-96.  Paul George led the charge with 34 points as the Pacers overcame a sluggish fourth quarter to get the win. Jeff Teague added 16 points as the Blue ‘n Gold improved to 32-and-30.
