Former GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and talk show host Oprah Winfrey will finally meet face to face on Monday, Nov. 16, when the hockey mom is due to appear on the show to promote her new book.

The appearance comes after months of accusations that Winfrey, a proud supporter of Palin’s Democratic presidential rival Barack Obama, was refusing to interview the former Alaska governor.

In September 2008, Winfrey released a statement addressing critics who believed that her loyalty to Obama was driving her decision.

“At the beginning of this presidential campaign, when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates,” Winfrey stated. “I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

According to Harpo Productions, the two will chat about Palin’s new book, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” which is due out Nov. 17, the day after her ‘Oprah’ appearance. The hardcover was already No. 2 on Amazon.com’s best-seller list as of press time Tuesday.
