R&B veteran Donell Jones is gearing for the release of his new album, ‘LYRICS,’ September 28th via his independent label CandyMan and E1. The album is his fifth studio effort and the follow-up to Journey Of A Gemini, which included the hits, “I’m Gonna Be” and “Spend The Night.”

‘LYRICS’ is led by the first single, “Love Like This,” which is already climbing the charts at Urban AC where it’s currently at #12 with a bullet, rapidly approaching Top 10.

Donell Jones released his debut solo effort, My Heart, in 1996, which was followed up by his Platinum-selling sophomore album, ‘Where I Wanna Be,’ which included the hits “U Know What’s Up”, a collaboration with Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes which reached #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks Chart, and the title track “Where I Wanna Be,” which peaked at #2 on the same chart.

Jones will also hit the road to promote the new disc. Below are the first of many announced tour dates:
