Singer Fantasia Barrino is bringing you into her home and introducing you to her family starting in January.

The new brings a new show for VH1. The network announced that Fantasia’s series, ‘Fantasia For Real’ is set to debut on January 11, 2010, at 10 p.m. EST. The show follows the soulful singer as she records her third album while trying to find time to be a good mom and earn her GED.

“Fantasia has engaged millions of fans,” VH1 Executive VP of Original Programming & Production Jeff Olde said in a press release about the show.  “Our audience helped Fantasia become an American Idol and now, with this series, they get a backstage pass into her real life as she confronts obstacles to realize her true potential as an artist, a mother, a daughter and a sister.”

We’ve already seen a rough cut of the first episode, and we can’t wait to see the finished product. Take it from us: “Fantasia For Real” will have Fanny fans hooked!

In the premiere Fantasia introduces us to her lay-about brother, Teeny, who fancies himself a musician. In our opinion he’s trying to live the celebrity lifestyle without putting in any of the work. Perfect example: He decides to test drive a sports car when he’s supposed to be out job-hunting.

We won’t even get started on what he does to Fantasia’s poolhouse.

But while he’s “renovating,” Fantasia’s hard at work trying to find a new hit, which you’ll get to hear pieces of during the show. We liked what we heard, so far, with a song called “Move On Me.” You’ll get a chance to hear it for yourself when “Fantasia For Real” premieres early next month on VH1.
