Wendy Williams had one of the biggest programs on daytime television. In 2017, the show was garnering a whopping 1.7 million viewers per episode. Two years later, it appears the 54-year-old might be pushed out of her own show after battling health issues.

Producers for “The Wendy Williams Show” claim she is “100 percent not involved” in her own show and they “are moving forward like she doesn’t exist,” a “close source” told Radar Online. Her husband, Kevin Hunter, has reportedly been pushed out, as well. “At first, they were keeping her and Kevin in the loop, getting their approval on replacement hosts and guests. Now, they are not even CC-ing them!” Radar Online wrote.
In addition, the staff is reportedly happy about her not returning. “It has been like a vacation having guest hosts,” an insider told Radar Online. “Everyone is laughing and smiling and working together all had gotten so used to walking on eggshells around Wendy and Kevin, we forgot what a fun work environment was.”
The show appears to be surviving without her. With a variety of guests hosts like Don Lemon, Sherri Shepherd and Nick Cannon, Nielsen reported the show still garnered 1.3 million viewers last week — tying with the popular “Rachael Ray Show.”
Over the past few months, Wendy reportedly injured her arm, was dealing with ongoing thyroid issues and faced allegations that a divorce is on the horizon.

Back in December, Love B. Scott exclusively reported that although the show was renewed through 2020, its future was allegedly uncertain. There are “concerns over Wendy’s health are clouding chances for any further renewal.”
In addition, the site said it received a cease and desist letter from Wendy’s lawyers, asking to remove the story that her husband had another woman pregnant and she was filing for divorce. The letter stated, “Mrs. Wendy Williams-Hunter and Mr. Kevin Hunter categorically deny each and every allegation made by your ‘sources’, even if not specifically enumerated herein.” There are reports that Kevin Hunter got another woman pregnant.
There is no word on when Wendy will return to the show — if ever.
