The man convicted of killing Morgan Freeman’s step-granddaughter has been sentenced to 20 year in jail.
Lamar Davenport was convicted of manslaughter last May  for the 2015 death of his ex-girlfriend, E’Dena Hines who is the granddaughter of the Freeman’s first wife Adair Bradshaw.

Davenport was acquitted of second-degree murder after his lawyer argued he was under the influence of PCP when he stabbed 33-year-old Hines outside of their NYC apartment. Witnesses said he repeatedly stabbed her as he screamed about religion.

However, a judge subsequently found him guilty of first-degree manslaughter.

After he’s released from prison, Davenport will be placed under post-release supervision for 5 years.
