As you’re making out your Christmas gift list this holiday season, make sure the toys that you get for the little ones are safe.
The US Public Research Interest Group released the annual “Trouble in Toyland” report, detailing which toys aren’t safe for tykes for a variety of reasons. This year, the group examined 40 toys and found 15 with issues. One of the toys included was the Fabula Forest, which has small pieces that can be choking hazards. The group also found six different slime toys containing high levels of boron, which can be a hazard if ingested. Between 2001 and 2016, there were a total of 290 toy-related deaths in children under 15.
