The city of Chicago is mourning the death of a police officer, who was one of four people killed in a gun battle at a hospital. Chicago police say a female hospital worker was gunned down in the hospital parking lot by a gunman with whom she had a relationship. The gunman then went into the hospital, leading to a shootout inside that killed another hospital worker and a police officer. The gunman was killed, but it’s unknown if he shot himself. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said the shooting, quote, “tears at the soul of our city.”
