The fog has cleared and the heat is in full swing.  WTHR.com says to expect a hot & humid day as temps are expecting in the mid 80’s.  Stay hydrated as there are less than 35 days left of summer.  There are plenty of activities going on today from Tony Cheeseborough performing at the Slippery Noodle later and the block party off of MLK Drive; check out some of the other events in and around your city below.

  • It’s the final day of the 161st INDIANA STATE FAIR at the fairgrounds and they’re going out with a bang.  It’s Pepsi Day so not only can you have the full Ninja Experience, but there’s a demolition derby later on followed by te Gospel Music Fest at 7:30pm with Kirk Franklin.  The concert is free with your admission to the fair so get your tickets online at indianastatefair.com
  • Looking for local produce?  Be a part of the BLACK FARMERS MARKET at Community Alliance of the Far Eastside.  Locally grown produce until 4pm.  For more information and future dates go to cafeindy.org
  • CLEAR THE SHELTERS continue’s today as  there are hundreds of dogs and cats still available for adoption. Seven central Indiana shelters and Humane Societies are taking part in the national Clear the Shelters day; to find them go to WTHR.com
  • Looking for a different type of workout plan?  Be a part of the FREE COMMUNITY WORKOUT at Ben Davis off of Girls School Road.  It starts at 3pm in the stadium and is welcome to those of all ages.
