Former CIA Director Michael Hayden said on CNN’s State of the Union, the relationship “is close to being permanently broken.” Hayden says it’s been increasingly difficult for the intelligence community to keep itself apolitical when the Trump administration behaves as it does. Hayden is one of more than a dozen top intelligence officials who signed a letter in support of former CIA Director John Brennan who had his security clearance revoked by the White House last week.
