Congratulations are in order as West Point is getting a new superintendent, the first black officer to command the U.S. Military Academy since it was founded in 1802.  Lieutenant General Darryl Williams will take over as the academy’s 60th superintendent in a ceremony Monday.  Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Williams has served as the deputy chief of staff for the U.S. Army in Europe and commander of NATO Allied Land Command.  Williams is a 1983 graduate of West Point.
