“Permit Patty” is no longer the CEO of her medical marijuana company Treatwell Health. A spokesperson for the business says Allison Ettel has resigned, effective immediately, after backlash from a viral video. The white San Francisco woman dubbed “Permit Patty” purportedly called 9-1-1 to complain about an eight-year-old African American girl selling bottled water. The girl was reportedly trying to raise money for a trip to Disneyland. Some dispensary owners say they have stopped buying Treatwell products, and they will give her proceeds from the sale of any Treatwell Health products remaining on their shelves.
