Rapper Kendrick Lamar is calling it “beautiful” and “an honor” after receiving the Pulitzer prize for music at Columbia University in New York City Wednesday. Lamar was given the award for his album DAMN. The award was historic because it marks the first time a non-classical or non- jazz artist won in the Pulitzer’s 100-year history.
Congrats again to Kendrick Lamar on winning the Pulitzer!
