The first round of the NFL Draft is over and it was not without surprises.  The Cleveland Browns pulled off the first stunner of the night by taking Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield first overall.  Fellow quarterback Sam Darnold of USC was the favorite to go to Cleveland, but wound up going third to the New York Jets.  The New York Giants selected Penn State running back Saquon Barkley with the second pick.  The Arizona Cardinals traded up and took UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen 10th.  Injured Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier WALKED out on stage to announce Pittsburgh’s pick, which was Virginia Tech safety Terrell Edmunds at number-28.  The Ravens traded up to get the last pick of the first round from the Eagles, taking Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The Indianapolis Colts drafted Notre Dame offensive lineman Quenton Nelson as the sixth pick of the draft.

The second and third rounds are on Friday night.  The draft wraps up Saturday afternoon with rounds four through seven.
