Actor R. Lee Ermey passed away Sunday due to complications his manager announced on social media. Ermey was best known for his portrayal of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in the 1987 movie, “Full Metal Jacket.” The role landed him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His other credits include “Seven,” “Dead Man Walking,” “The Boys in Company C,” “Mississippi Burning,” and his own shows, “Lock N’ Load with R. Lee Ermey” and “Mail Call.”
