The sun is shining so bright and highs near the 60’s in December…wow; must be Indiana.  While we can still enjoy nice weather before the snow hits, get the family outdoors to experience some wonderful things before the start of school tomorrow.  Check out some of the events listed below:

  • Head over to the Indiana State Fairgrounds for their 2hr sessions of ice-skating.  Sip on hot chocolate as the little ones try to make around the rink.  It takes place in the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion and you can get more information online at indyfueltank.com/popweaveryouthpavilion
  • Check out the Festival of Trees at Lantheir Winery in Madison County. See how the winery is decorated — wall-to-wall — with beautiful decor, Christmas trees, and you can also enjoy samples of award-winning handcrafted wines including limited release holiday wines.  Free Wine Tasting in Cellar Tasting Room.  To be a part of the celebration get details online at lanthierwinery.com
  • Get aboard the Sullivan Express Train for a ride to the north pole to visit santa’s workshop, the train departs every 20 minutes.  This Tuesday Dec. 5th get registered as 106.7 WTLC will be there to hand out cash prizes and more, but you have to register online at tlcnaptown.com and to find out more about Sullivan’s go to sullivanhardware.com/events/sullivan-santa-express/
  • Carmel Christkindlmarkt is Open in Hamilton County.  Packed with German food and gifts, outdoor skating rink, music and more open now until Dec. 24th.  More information is available at carmelchristkindlmarkt.com
