Image result for summer funA beautiful way to start off the weekend with sunny skies and temperatures so mild you want to sit on the porch and talk all day.  If not, get out of the house and visit your city.  There’s plenty of things to do while you visit a part of the town that you haven’t been to before.

  • The 47th Annual Indiana Black Expo kicked off July 6th.  This 11 day event is filled with tons of celebrities, workshops, film festivals and more.  As a matter of fact, the IBE Film Festival starts today at 11am-7p at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  Admission and parking is FREE and you can get more details about this years Summer Celebration at indianablackexpo.com/
  • Indy PopCon 2017 has hit the city at the Indiana Convention Center.  Everything pop is celebrated here from games to music, movies and so much more including a yoyo competition later today.  The event is in town all weekend and you can find out more at indypopcon.com/
  • Head over to Salt Creek Horse Ranch in Franklin County for a guided horseback ride over 700 acres.  Open now until 5pm today and the daily schedule varies.  Do something different this weekend, RIDE A HORSE or at least let the kids.  For prices visit saltcreekhorseranch.com/

  • Make a day at Daniel’s Vineyard for the Sip. Bark. Repeat. Adoption event with live music, food trucks & of course…puppies. The event starts at 12noon and last til 4pm.  More information is available at danielsvineyard.com/
