In the end, the Golden State Warriors had too much firepower for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they wrapped up a 16-1 postseason run by winning their second championship in three seasons by winning 129-120 in Game five of the NBA Finals. Kevin Durant, who earned his first-ever championship, went for 39 points on 14-of-20 shooting. Steph Curry chipped in 34 with 10 assists and six rebounds despite struggling behind the arc. Andre Iguodala had a monster game off the bench with 20 points and terrific defense. Another incredible performance from LeBron James couldn’t help Cleveland extend the matchup to a sixth game. James ended putting up 41 points, 13 boards and eight helpers. J.R. Smith connected on 7-of-8 from deep for 25 to help keep the Cavs within striking distance throughout the night.

Now the big question is, what will happen in the offseason with Cleveland to get the pieces to get back to the finals and possibly meet the Warriors again?
