National stories about the current U.S. Attorney General not admitting he had multiple contacts with a Russian ambassador during his confirmation hearings is one of the leading national news stories today, however, right here in Indy tonight, Former AG Eric Holder speaks at the IUPUI Campus Center on the 4th Floor as a part of the Steward Speakers Series at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available at stewardspeakers.org.
The National Weather Service is confirming a tornado touched down in Lawrence County yesterday morning. The NWS says the EF-2 tornado hit just after 5:30 a.m. at 130 miles-per-hour. No injuries were reported, however, there were several structures damaged.

The reward for information on the killer of two young Delphi teenagers is now $211,000. Colts owner Jim Irsay and former Colts kicker Pat McAfee announced yesterday they pitched in $100,000, nearly doubling the reward. State police say so far, no arrests have been made in the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German.
Indianapolis police are investigating a string of church burglaries. At least four cases have been reported since Saturday. Police say the most recent burglary happened early Wednesday morning at New Spiritual Life Christian Church on East 30th Street. There’s no word yet if the cases are connected.
A man accused of threatening a gay bar here in Indy this past weekend is facing a pair of felony charges. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office says Brandon Savage demanded cash from a bartender at Downtown Olly’s before threatening to shoot up the place. Police say he called ahead of time, threatening an attack like at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Savage is due to face a judge on Friday.

The Washington Post is doing their job and their work is delivering one of those “gotcha moments.” They’re reporting Attorney General Jeff Sessions had contact with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., something he didn’t disclose during his confirmation hearings. The newspaper is citing Justice Department officials saying that one of the meetings took place with Sessions in then-Senator Session’s office in September. Sessions also reportedly spoke with the Russian ambassador in July. At the time, Sessions was one of Trump’s foreign policy advisers. The Alabama senator was asked about possible contact between members of President Trump’s campaign and Russian officials during his confirmation hearings by Minnesota Senator Al Franken to become Attorney General.
The Democrats are responding. They’re saying he lied under oath. In fact Representative Elijah Cummings, Minority House Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senator Elizabeth Warren have all called for Sessions’ resignation.

Former U.S. officials say members of the Obama White House left a trail for investigators about Russian efforts to undermine the presidential election. The New York Times reports White House officials scrambled in the last days of the Obama administration to spread information across the government about Russian meddling.
The Wells Fargo scandal may affect more customers than previously thought. The bank earlier said as many as 2.1 million customers may have had checking accounts or credit cards opened in their names without their knowledge so employees could meet sales goals. But in a filing with regulators on Wednesday, it admitted that number could be higher.
Fewer Americans are filing for unemployment. The Labor Department says weekly jobless claims fell by 19,000 last week. New figures out on Thursday morning show 223,000 people filed first-time claims for benefits for the week ending February 25. It’s the lowest level for new claims since March 1973.
The Trump administration is finding less money than expected to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Reuters reports Homeland Security officials have identified only $20 million in funds they can put toward the $20 billion project. The White House has said it would get construction started with “existing funds and resources.”

The NFL Scouting Combine continues today as punters and kickers are are on the field. Offensive line and running back prospects are scheduled to participate in the bench press, meet with the media and undergo psychological testing and the NFL for the first time is allowing you the fan to catch the action. The NFL Combine Experience at the Indy Convention Center opens today and runs through Sunday.
The Spurs have edged by the Pacers Wednesday night in San Antonio. They did this with two seconds on the clock with their Kawhi Leonard nailing that winning shot for a final of 100-99. The Pacers are back in action in Atlanta on Sunday night.
