The star of “Concussion” is disappointed the 2015 movie didn’t have a bigger impact on fans and the NFL.  Will Smith tells “Vanity Fair” he thought the movie, about traumatic brain injuries in football, would alarm the public and lead to new protections for players.  But he tells the magazine that fans instead said “nope, I’m not stopping football so I don’t want to know.”  The movie is based on the true story of a doctor who tried to show that repeated blows to the head leads to athletes developing a brain disease.  “Concussion” did not do especially well at the box office.
