It was all about #BlackLove last night at the VIP screening of Southside with You, hosted by your digital girlfriends — us!
Tastemakers, influencers, and celebrities like June Ambrose, Ty Hunter, Malik Yoba, Nyemiah Supreme, Hill Harper, Vicky Jeudy, Michaela Angela Davis, and Pearl Thusi were in attendance at the swanky NYC gem NeueHouse.
Tika Sumpter was glowing when she arrived for the Q&A, moderated by #TeamBeautiful’s Keyaira Kelly. The actress’ co-star, Parker Sawyers, owned the room with his tall, slender frame and Barack Obama-like mannerisms.
Before premiering Southside with You, we debuted our #BlackLove franchise that features three couples sharing their first-date experiences.
Director Richard Tanne, Tika, and Parker discussed the importance of producing more Black films that highlight Black love stories.
#TeamBeautiful received an outpouring of support via social media.
After the event, attendees left with swag bags from Shea Moisture.
