This week, First Lady Michelle Obama sat down with the Today show’s Al Roker to talk about healthy eating, her garden tour and what the First Family will do when they leave the White House next year. Most important, FLOTUS shared how she hopes she will be remembered as First Lady.

On five words that describe the past seven years:

“For me, fun, challenging, creative, dynamic and at times delicious.

On the tough times being in the White House:

Adjusting to this attention. Trying to make sure that I raise girls that are sane in the limelight that is brighter than one can ever imagine. So yes, absolutely there were challenges, but for the most part, by far, the fun that I have in this job, far outweighs any challenges that you can imagine.”

On what FLOTUS wants her legacy to be:

I’ll probably have better perspective on it when I have change to breathe, step back and think. But if I have to answer the question right now, I just want people to say, Michelle Obama was a hardworking First Lady who impacted people’s lives for the better.

On what she will be the day after 2017 Inauguration Day:

Hopefully…somewhere warm.

On leaving the White House for good:

We are going to miss everybody when it’s time to go, but don’t take me there yet. Not yet.

While it’s unknown what Mrs. Obama will actually do in 2017 when her role at the White House as First Lady is said and done, but Hello Beautiful’s I. Wright hypothesized what could be in store.
