While Beyonce is a proud Houston native, she and Jay Z got their marriage certificate from his home state, New York. They picked up their license from Scarsdale, N.Y.
Unlike some of their celebrity friends, they only had 40 guests and decided not to have a famous artist perform. They also tied the knot right in Jay Z’s luxurious home in the Tribeca neighborhood.
