Pretty much no one showed up to the protest against Beyonce’s Super Bowl 50 performance.
A group of people hoped to make a stand against Beyonce’s controversial show that paid homage to the Black Panther organization. Her video for “Formation” also addressed police brutality when it was released just hours before she hit the field.
But when it came time to make some noise, only three people showed up to the NFL headquarters in New York City.
What’s even more interesting is that more people who are Team Queen Bey attended to support her performance and bring light to other incidents like the Sandra Bland tragedy.
Someone created an anonymous page on Eventbrite just after Beyonce’s performance and invited people who didn’t like to come protest about it.
Police set up barriers to avoid the rally getting out of hand. But it’s clear that was unnecessary.
