Love & Basketball film creator Gina Bythewood and ‘Empire‘ executive producer Brian Grazer are teaming up for a new show on FOX with Sanaa Lathan as their leading lady. With police shooting breaking headlines lately, the new show plans to tackle that topic on the show with Sanaa Lathan as a cop. She is set to play a cop who “examines the dangerous aftermath of a police shooting when an African-American cop kills a white teen in Tennessee.”
Sanaa has many projects in the works as of now. She was the leading actress in the No.1 thriller at the box office in ‘The Perfect Guy’ as well as landing a role as the leading actress for Omar Tyree’s best-selling young adult Flyy Girl trilogy.
