Brandy is getting ready to take center stage for the very first time, not as a singer but as an actress. The singer/actor is preparing for the kick off of ‘Chicago’ on Broadway on April 28. The show is set to run for eight consecutive weeks until June 21. During a recent interview, Brandy talked about her transition in Roxie that she has been training a lot for.
“Roxie is really tough, but she’s really sweet. And I feel like I’m the same way. I can be really tough, and stand up for myself and speak my mind, and then I’ll bake you a cookie,” she told Vanity Fair, laughing.
Roxie character is a young housewife and club owner who kills her side piece who had threatened to leave her. To get out of being convicted for the crime she committed she hired one of the best lawyers around to get her out of trouble by taking advantage of her cell mate as well as the media.
