Bill Cosby Performs At The Treasure Island

America’s favorite dad, Bill Cosby is still weathering allegations that he drugged and raped several women. Over the weekend, Cosby was a guest on NPR’s Weekend Edition, and refused to answer questions about the sexual assault allegations.

Cosby’s lawyer is refusing to “dignify” the allegations from actress Barbara Bowman, insisting he will not comment on “decade-old, discredited” claims.

Bowman penned an editorial piece in the Washington Post earlier this week accusing the star of raping her 30 years ago, writing,

“Why wasn’t I believed…? Why was I, a victim of sexual assault, further wronged by victim blaming when I came forward…?’

Over the years, Cosby has faced multiple allegations from women claiming to have been sexually abused by the funnyman – one acquaintance accused the 77 year old of drugging and raping her at his home in a 2005 lawsuit.

The case was settled before it went to trial and Cosby has never been hit with criminal charges.

A statement on Cosby’s website from attorney John P. Schmitt reads:

“Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true.

“Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment. He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work. There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or any of his representatives.”
