Sheryl Lynch became the first African-American woman to become the Circuit Court Judge for Marion County. On election night there was a gathering that took place right here in Indiana by the Indiana Democratic party. At the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis is exactly where Sheryl Lynch found out that she was elected into being Marion County Circuit Court Judge. Because she was the first woman to ever do it she shed a few tears as seen in photos taken by indystar. Lynch’s dad, Jesse Lynch, joined her at the podium in front of her supporters cheering her on. According to sources, Sheyrl Lynch was very emotion during her speech sharing her story.
