The Target store located at at 8448 Center Run Drive in Castleton will be one of the many Target stores to close it’s doors for good February 1.
The Castleton location will be one of eleven marked for closure next year nationwide.
Target announced the planned closures Tuesday.
“The decision to close a Target store is only made after careful consideration of the long-term financial performance of a particular location,” the company wrote in a release.
Eligible employees at the Castleton store will be given the option to transfer to other Target stores, while those who choose not to transfer will be given a severance package.
Three stores in Michigan and two in Illinois head the list of closures from the Minneapolis-based retailer.
Target currently operates 18 stores in central Indiana, including 13 in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
