Disgraced former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice begins his appeal today in New York. The two-day arbitration hearing will include testimony from both Rice and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Rice is going through arbitration to challenge Goodell’s handling of his domestic abuse incident. You may recall, Goodell made the decision to first suspend Rice two games, and when the video became public showing the viciousness of the attack, Goodell backtracked and suspended Rice indefinitely for knocking out his now-wife in a casino elevator. The league endured a barrage of criticism for light punishment and not taking domestic abuse seriously in this incident.
