Arsenal Technical High School released a statement Tuesday, after the The Indiana High School Athletic Association handed down sanctions following a fight at one of their football games.

Later that night, Arsenal Tech confirmed one of their assistant coaches who was involved in the fight has been dismissed from the football program.
The school also announced that nine players will be on a one-game suspension for their involvement in the fight. Additionally, two parents who entered the field during the fight will not be allowed to attend Arsenal Tech athletic events for the 2013-2014 school year.
School officials said these measures will also be taken to prevent similar situations in the future:
- The Arsenal Tech football team will complete a service learning project to demonstrate the positive attributes of the student athletes.
- Student athletes will be mentored in character and leadership development opportunities on a weekly basis.
- The Arsenal Tech student body, football players and coaches will be addressed by the principal on proper ways to handle challenging situations and sportsmanship expectations.
