Morgan Johnson Missing Since 2011, Found

The search for Morgan Johnson the Plainfield Man missing since 2011 is over.

The Hendricks County Coroner confirmed that the remains found Friday in a vehicle also submerged in water in Plainfield were those of Morgan Johnson.

The car was found about in a pond about 8 feet deep and 20 feet out from shore.

Officials said Johnson was working nearby and had just been informed of his grandfather’s death before he disappeared.

Officials said it was possible that he had a seizure while driving, The exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

 

Police Search Geist Reservoir For Missing Teen

The family of a Missing Fishers teen is waiting find out if the body found in a car submerged in Geist Reservoir, is that of Peyton Riekhor, 18, who has been missing since Thursday. Riekhof was scene on Surveillance video in the middle of the night at a nearby gas station after leaving her boyfriends house upset. Foul Play is not suspected.

Police will wait for dental records to confirm the identity of the body.

 

One Arrested, One Killed After Saturday Shooting

One minor was arrested after another minor was shot and killed at a downtown parking garage.

Officers found 17-year-old Darnell Franklin suffering from a gunshot wound to the back around 3 a.m. Sunday Morning at the JW Marriott Garage.

Police said Franklin and five other people, all family and friends, rode in the same car to the garage to meet with some female friends.

One person in the back seat of the car picked up a gun and accidentally shot Franklin in the back, before being taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital where he later died from his wounds.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office decided to arrest the juvenile male on charges of reckless homicide and carrying a handgun without a license. The teens were not participating in any Indiana Black Expo activities.

IMPD says there was only one arrest related to Summer Celebration made on Friday. There were no curfew violations and only a few citations were issued over the weekend.

 

One Injured In Police Action Shooting

One person was injured during a police action shooting in Noblesville near Riverview Hospital late Saturday night.

Police found a suicidal 27-year-old male suspect in the parking lot.

The suspect disobeyed verbal commands of police, and was shot twice after officers perceived a threat from the suspect.

The suspect was transported to Methodist Hospital and their condition was not known.

No police officers were injured in the incident. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
