DeVon Franklin and Meagan Good showed everyone it’s possible to be celibate in Hollywood. Before getting married, they made it known that they would not have sex with each other before saying “I do.” They spoke openly about their celibacy and why it was best for them.
Now it’s been about four months since they tied the knot and Franklin, Sony Pictures Executive and pastor, revealed he had been celibate for 10 years.
In an interview with Global Grind Franklin he said:
[Meagan] was celibate before we got together and I was celibate. You’re not going to believe me…[I’ve been celibate] over ten years. I would go and preach one thing but I was going and living another and I could not do it. I could not look at myself in the mirror. I was like, ‘No, I cannot live like this.”
The couple met on the set of Jumping the Broom where he was a producer and married on June 16, 2012.
