Well, the show must go on. While fans are still reeling from the surprise exits of lead actors Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall in the season finale of “The Game,”BET  announced Lauren London has been cast to fill the void.

London will play Kiera, a former child star who is currently acting in a Cosby Show-esque sitcom.  Last seen on the big screen in 2011′s Madea’s Big Happy Family, London’s acting credits include  include ATLThis Christmas, “Beverly Hills 90210″ and VH1′s “Single Ladies.”

Wendy Raquel Robinson (“Tasha”), Coby Bell (“Jason”), Hosea Chanchez (“Malik”) and Brandy Norwood (“Chardonnay”) will return for the sixth season.

In other “The Game” news…

Industry sources have revealed that actor Jay Ellis landed a role as the show’s newest male character. The 31-year-old actor had previous roles on “Hart of Dixie” and “NCIS.” Sources say he’ll play Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbrook, a.k.a. Blue, a star running back from the Ivy League who rubs some of the Sabers the wrong way.

Though plot details are under wraps, Jay’s character is expected to have a relationship with Lauren’s ‘former child star’ character on the show.  Jay, himself, is a military brat who lived all over the world with his parents while growing up.  And also went to Concordia University on a basketball scholarship.  So it seems like his real life experiences could help his on-screen character.
