An Indianapolis Public School Board member is asking for an independent investigation of the bullying that led a Tech High School student to bring a stun gun to school to protect himself.

Samantha Adair-White said she doesn’t trust the district to do a fair investigation, and she wants to know how big a problem bullying is.
“Everybody in the community should be livid about this,” she said. “This is serious.”
IPS Superintendent Eugene White denied her request for an investigation in an email that Adair-White provided to The Indianapolis Star, but the district did not respond to requests for comment Thursday.
