Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith were guests on yesterday’s episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

The conversation turned to marriage and keeping things, shall we say, “spicy.”

“I want to know what you do to keep this flame burning,” Oprah Winfrey asked. Will seemed a bit shy, but Jada sure wasn’t.

Gabourey Sidibe plans on bringing her mom as her date to the 2010 Academy Awards, but there is another person who’d definitely love to walk the red carpet with the “Precious” actress.

“Oprah called me and was like, ‘Hey girl, do you want to ride together?’ ” the 26-year-old Oscar contender told PEOPLE at Thursday’s third annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon.

“I was like, ‘I got it Oprah, calm down. I don’t want to show up with you. People will think we’re too cool.”

A group of physical trainers are suing Oprah Winfrey and her Harpo Inc. for non-payment, however, their legal action may be foiled by clause in the contract they signed, and which is now posted at TMZ.com

According to the Web site, Unicus Performance Training filed the lawsuit earlier this week, claiming they never received payment for a workout program they were developing for Harpo.

UPT says Harpo fired them for violating the terms of their confidentiality agreement, after UPT sent out a mass e-mail promoting their upcoming appearance on Oprah’s radio show.

According the confidentiality agreement, UPT was forbidden to “use HARPO’s name, Oprah.com’s name or Ms. Winfrey’s name” for any advertising or promotional purposes.

The document bars UPT from saying anything at anytime about Winfrey and Harpo without “express, written permission.”

ABC television says it has a great head start on dealing with the impossible task of replacing Oprah Winfrey, who announced plans to end her talk show in 2011.

“Oprah has given us two years’ notice, which is not something you generally see in television,” Disney/ABC Television Group president Anne Sweeney told Reuters on Monday. “We are certainly in the process right now of reviewing our options.”

Sweeney, who is also co-chair of Disney Media Networks and oversees the ABC Television Network, described Winfrey as “one of a kind” but nonetheless said she could foresee a “myriad” of ways to replace the TV star.

While refusing to name names, Sweeney said, “I think it’s going to be really interesting to see who comes forward and who emerges during this time as the next great idea, personality and then the next great piece of programming,” she said.

“It’s a matter of understanding the marketplace and thinking about what it’s going to look like in two years and what is the best thing that you could be programming at that hour for consumers, and I think it’s going to vary station to station,” she said.

Winfrey will end her show to focus on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, a cable channel to be launched in partnership with Discovery Communications Inc.

Gayle King made a visit to “Good Morning America” Monday to clear up some headlines in the wake of her best friend Oprah Winfrey’s announcement that her talk show would end in 2011.

“After 25 years, it’s just time to go while you’re on top,” the editor-at-large of Winfrey’s O magazine told “GMA’s” Robin Roberts. “It really was as simple as that and, maybe have a semblance of a life.

“Hey listen, no pity party for Oprah, because she has a great life, does wonderful things, but you know, at the end of the day it really is her life …,” she added.

King said she wasn’t sure what was next for her BFF.

“I don’t even think she knows,” she said. “She’s riding off from ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ as we know it, but she’s not riding off into the sunset.”

There were reports over the weekend that Gayle was meeting with CBS to discuss a possible talk show. While King didn’t directly address the rumor, she did say she had no plans to “replace” Oprah – because, King said, that would be impossible.

“She is so much a part of the culture that we have to come up with a new model, a new way of doing things …,” King said. “I’m happy because I know for her it’s the right decision … she’s so at peace with it.”

“So here we are, halfway through the season 24. And it still means as much to me to spend an hour everyday with you as it did in 1986. So why walk away and make next season the last? Here is the real reason. I love this show. This show has been my life. And I love it enough to know when it’s time to say goodbye. 25 years feels right in my bones and it feels right in my spirit. It’s the perfect number, the exact right time.”

*Oprah Winfrey will reportedly end her talk show in September, 2011 after its 25th season on the air, and will spend the ensuing years focusing on her new cable network OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).

Chicago-based Harpo Productions Inc. said Thursday night that the talk show host will make an official announcement and give more details live on today’s live broadcast of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

“Oprah will be ending her talk show. She’ll be speaking about it in her live show,” a spokesman from Harpo, Inc., told CNN.

Winfrey started her broadcasting career in Nashville, Tenn., and Baltimore, Md., before relocating to Chicago in 1984 to host WLS-TV’s morning talk show “A.M. Chicago.”

“The Oprah Winfrey Show”, broadcast from Chicago on ABC stations across the United States, is the top-rated U.S. daytime talk show averaging 7.1 million viewers this year.

OWN, a partnership with Discovery Networks, is likely to get underway in mid-2010.

“I came from nothing,” Winfrey wrote in the 1998 book “Journey to Beloved.” “No power. No money. Not even my thoughts were my own. I had no free will. No voice. Now, I have the freedom, power, and will to speak to millions every day — having come from nowhere.”

Forbes magazine has pegged Winfrey’s net worth at close to $3 billion.

Oprah Winfrey gave Robin Givens a lengthy apology on her live show last Friday over the manner in which she dealt (or didn’t deal) with a comment made last month by the actress’ ex-husband Mike Tyson.

On a previous episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Tyson was asked about their 1998 Barbara Walters interview, in which Givens revealed that he physically abused her.

“At that particular moment, I truly wanted to sock her, but I didn’t do it,” Tyson told Oprah, as her audience laughed. The talk show host continued on with the interview without addressing the comment.

Givens, who is a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, told Winfrey Friday that her non-reaction was hard to stomach.

“I was really hurt, really, really hurt,” she told Winfrey. “I just wanted you… When he said ‘I’ve socked her before,’ to say, ‘That’s not right!’ And it wasn’t right and it was painful. There are so many women like me out there… if you hear laughter about it, it lightens it.”

Although Winfrey tried to explain what the mood was like that day in her studio, she apologized to Givens for what happened.

“In that moment, I didn’t know – the audience laughed because they were uncomfortable, and the word ’sock,’ you think of a cartoon character, they weren’t laughing at you,” Winfrey responded. “I should have said something, ‘This isn’t funny.’ I regretted… that moment. To you and every woman who’s ever been hit, I feel that I did not handle that as well as I should have – I apologize to you, and to every woman in that situation, for not being sharp enough.”

“I hope you accept my apology,” Winfrey told her. “I had a lot of empathy and compassion for Mike Tyson and still do, but that never makes hitting women OK. It’s never OK.”

Oprah Winfrey has yet to decide on a possible move of her syndicated talk show to cable’s forthcoming Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), her production company said Thursday.

Responding to a report that “The Oprah Winfrey Show” would move from syndicated television to OWN in mid-2011, Winfrey’s production company Harpo Inc. said the TV star would make an announcement by the end of the year.

“She has not made a decision yet. As she has previously stated, she’ll be making an announcement before the end of the year,” Harpo spokesman Don Halcombe said.

As previously reported, entertainment blogger Nikki Finke wrote in a report on Thursday that Winfrey would end the Chicago-based talk show when her current syndication deal runs out at the end of the 2010-11 TV season, and move it to Los Angeles-based OWN as soon as mid 2011.

Such a move would hit CBS Corp’s CBS Television Distribution arm, which syndicates the show, and Walt Disney Co’s ABC’s owned and operated TV stations which broadcast the daytime program.

“We’re obviously in constant conversation with Oprah. She’s a legend and one of the great assets we have,” CBS CEO Les Moonves told reporters in an earnings conference call, adding that CBS was hopeful of keeping her.

CBS released a statement saying that nothing had changed. “The decision is Oprah’s to make. As we have stated repeatedly, we love Oprah and if she wants to continue her show then we want to continue to be in business with her.”
