New York will pay $3.5 million to a mother whose son died when two prison aides violently restrained him at the former Tryon Boys Residential Center in Fulton County, NY in 2006.

Cop Sues NYPD After Leaving Man Paralyzed In Shooting

NEW YORK — Officer Daniel Hernandez is suing the NYPD for denying him overtime after he shot and paralyzed Ahmed Evans who is suing Hernandez over the shooting.

The New York Daily News reports:

Officer Daniel Hernandez claims that as a result of being kept off the street since July 2008, he’s been “damaged in his employment, and has suffered economically, humiliated, emotional distress and conscious pain and suffering,” according to his complaint
