Garden Grove police Lt. Jeff Nightengale said Catherine Kieu Becker drugged a meal and served it to the victim, whose name was not released, shortly before the attack Monday night.

Nightengale said the 51-year-old man felt sick, went to lie down and lost consciousness. The 48-year-old Becker then tied the victim’s arms and legs to the bed with rope, removed his clothes and attacked him with a 10-inch kitchen knife as he awoke, Nightengale said.

“He was conscious when his penis was removed,” Nightengale said.

Nightengale said Becker put the penis in the garbage disposal and turned it on.

The lieutenant said Becker called 911 to report a medical emergency and told arriving officers “he deserved it” before pointing to the room where the victim was found tied to the bed, bleeding profusely. Authorities did not release details on a possible motive in the attack.

A telephone listing for Becker’s residence could not be located and no one was home in the apartment.

Nightengale said Becker was taken into custody without incident and refused to talk to officers further. Nightengale said Wednesday the couple was married in December 2009 and that the victim filed for divorce six months ago.

Bail for Becker was set at $1 million after she was booked at the Orange County Jail for investigation of aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse.

She was due in court Wednesday.

The victim underwent surgery and was listed in good condition at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center in Orange, hospital spokesman John Murray told the Orange County Register.

The newspaper said the victim declined to comment when he was reached by phone Tuesday afternoon.

“This is a private matter,” he said.

Neighbor Lourdes Painter told The Associated Press the couple did not have any children and seemed very quiet. Becker and her husband lived in a second-story condo in the working class complex. Painter lives in the unit below them.

The condo belonged to the victim but Becker was living there and slowly moving her things out, Nightengale said.

Nightengale said a database search showed no previous calls to the home for any past problems. He didn’t know what kind of food the couple ate for dinner. Detectives took the food as evidence and were analyzing it.

No private attorney was listed on booking documents. If Becker seeks a public defender, one could be appointed at her first court appearance.

In 1993, Lorena Bobbitt cut off her husband’s penis in Virginia and threw it out of her car window into a field on the side of the road. She claimed years of sexual abuse drove her to the attack, and she was acquitted by reason of insanity. His penis was later reattached.

“Basketball Wives” cast member Gloria Govan said in a statement that her fiance, Los Angeles Lakers player Matt Barnes was wrongfully arrested on a domestic violence charge and that he has never physically abused her or her family, according to an Associated Press report.

Govan’s statement comes a day after Barnes was arrested and booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on a felony domestic violence charge and for allegedly obstructing the use of a telephone line

Barnes had also pleaded his innocence, but he suggested Govan was at fault.

He told ABC News 10′s Bryan May,

“I was the victim but still got arrested”

and texting to him,

“U know any domestic violence situation 9 outa 10 times the man gets arrested. That’s the case here I was the victim but still got arrested. No matter what I say people are gonna think what they want…”

Barnes, a Sacramento native, was released after posting $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Thomas also reportedly gave Kim $3650 to get liposuction surgery because he said she was fat. He also gave her an additional $1000 for further cosmetic procedures.

Stacey Dash claims her soon-to-be ex-husband beat her on multiple occasions … and she got a restraining order against him on the day she filed for divorce.

TMZ obtained the restraining order — originally signed by a judge January 29 and still in effect — in which Dash claimed her husband, Emmanuel Xuereb, hit her in the face, head and body during their two-plus years of marriage … but she was afraid to report it to police.

His publicists at W&W Public Relations, Inc. stated: “Judge Gloria Dumas of the General Sessions Court for Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County signed an order on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, dismissing all charges with prejudice.  With this order, this domestic matter is over and cannot be reopened.”

Winans is quoted as saying: “This has been a trying year, beginning with the death of my father. Even though this allegation has affected not just me, but also the entire Winans family, my children and certain aspects of my career, I chose to stay quiet because I knew the truth.  To be exonerated of all charges shows the power of trusting in God, and is a wonderful Christmas gift for me and my children.”

Winans, a judge on BET’s “Sunday Best,” was jailed briefly in Tennessee last spring after his ex-wife accused him in an affidavit of pushing her to the ground during an argument over custody of their two children.

Last month, BeBe’s good friend Oprah Winfrey removed him from her show’s “karaoke challenge” until charges against him could be resolved.

In Tuesday’s statement, his reps said the allegations had “stirred up a fire inside Winans to begin a persistent effort to fight for the father or the man who may be going through the same struggle.”

Oprah Winfrey gave Robin Givens a lengthy apology on her live show last Friday over the manner in which she dealt (or didn’t deal) with a comment made last month by the actress’ ex-husband Mike Tyson.

On a previous episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Tyson was asked about their 1998 Barbara Walters interview, in which Givens revealed that he physically abused her.

“At that particular moment, I truly wanted to sock her, but I didn’t do it,” Tyson told Oprah, as her audience laughed. The talk show host continued on with the interview without addressing the comment.

Givens, who is a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, told Winfrey Friday that her non-reaction was hard to stomach.

“I was really hurt, really, really hurt,” she told Winfrey. “I just wanted you… When he said ‘I’ve socked her before,’ to say, ‘That’s not right!’ And it wasn’t right and it was painful. There are so many women like me out there… if you hear laughter about it, it lightens it.”

Although Winfrey tried to explain what the mood was like that day in her studio, she apologized to Givens for what happened.

“In that moment, I didn’t know – the audience laughed because they were uncomfortable, and the word ‘sock,’ you think of a cartoon character, they weren’t laughing at you,” Winfrey responded. “I should have said something, ‘This isn’t funny.’ I regretted… that moment. To you and every woman who’s ever been hit, I feel that I did not handle that as well as I should have – I apologize to you, and to every woman in that situation, for not being sharp enough.”

“I hope you accept my apology,” Winfrey told her. “I had a lot of empathy and compassion for Mike Tyson and still do, but that never makes hitting women OK. It’s never OK.”

Tickets for Chris Brown’s “Fan Appreciation” tour haven’t been as brisk as his camp would have liked.

The trek is scheduled to kick off next week and none of the intimate venues “are even close to sold out,” according to the New York Daily News. “In fact, anyone who’s interested can still purchase up to 50 tickets at a time for Brown’s opening night” at the House of Blues in Houston on Nov. 14.

“This is definitely not the outcome [Chris' label] Jive Records hoped for,” says an industry exec, adding that the poor ticket sales are surely a result of Brown’s now-infamous altercation with Rihanna in February. “Chris lost a lot of fans after he assaulted Rihanna. And after that whole scandal, he’s not exactly kid-friendly. What parent would buy their children tickets to his concert?”

Brown’s agent, meanwhile, says he’s not worried about the sluggish sales. “Dates are expected to sell out,” insists the rep, “and given the economic climate, ticket sales are doing very well.”

But another industry insider says the tour may be premature, considering Brown’s “Graffiti” album doesn’t drop until Dec. 8. “Had this tour fallen on the heels of a smash album, compared to his climbing single ‘I Can Transform Ya,’ ticket counts might have been better,” says the source.

That logic may explain why the release of “Graffiti” has been pushed up a week - it was originally slated to drop on Dec. 15, which is the date of his last tour stop at the Nokia Theater in New York.

“This may be Jive’s way of boosting Chris’ head count for the Manhattan show,” says the music insider. “The turnout at Nokia is pretty crucial. If he can get a big crowd in New York City, it’ll be a good sign that he can regain control of his career.”
