Morgan has responded by stating that he has little to no relationship with his mother, according to E! News.

Tracy Morgan is in the middle of a nasty public feud with members of his own family.

Morgan’s mother, Alicia Warden, recently disclosed that her home was in foreclosure and he was offering little to no assistance to keep her from losing her house.

Morgan released a statement saying, “I am saddened that these untrue stories about me have people questioning my commitment to my family…for reasons that are between us, I have not seen my Mother in 11 years and outside of a random call here and there have had little to no contact with my sister.” Morgan’s sister told the New York Daily News that Mr. Morgan has offered nothing more than a one-time payment of $2,000. His mother owes $25,000 on the home.

Forbes estimated Tracy Morgan’s net worth at around $18 million.

Morgan’s sister, Asia, said, “He’s never been a nice person and money’s just made it worse.”

Tracy Morgan fired back, “We all have personal family issues that we have to deal with in life, but I choose to deal with mine in private and not through the media,” he added.

Morgan wrote in 2009: “As of this moment, I’m estranged from my own mother and most of my family, and I’m not sure that’s going to change much. I’m not saying why, I’m just saying that’s how it is,”

It doesn’t look like it’s going to change any time soon.

42 years old comedian Tracy Morgan is  still recovering after undergoing a successful kindey transplant last month in NYC. This of course means he will miss at least 2 or 3 of the hit NBC-TV Series “Thirty Rock, (according to People.com).

Once Morgan is cleared by his doctors to go back to work, rest assure that he will be back in action and keeping us laughing once again.

*NBC has given the green light to a Mafia-inspired drama from Jamie Foxx.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the peacock made a deal for “Tommy’s Little Girl,” which centers on a young girl raised in a Mafia family who is hidden away in an orphanage after her family is murdered by a rival crime boss. Now an attorney, she has a double life as an assassin avenging her family’s murder as she attempts to locate her last living relative.

The project is from writer/executive producer Jorge Zamacona (Oz, The Unusuals) along with executive prodders Foxx and Deon Taylor.

What do actors like Flip Wilson and Tyler Perry have in common? They both are men who impersonate Black women in comedy. They use their own interpretations of how they see a Black woman and they reenact it. They mimic the way a Black woman’s speaks, laughs, walks, and even her stereotyped sassy personality. We all laugh at these interpretations for a few different reasons. One would be that we feel that their interpretation is an accurate depiction. Another reason would be that we find it funny to see a man dressed as a man and recreating her behavior.  Perhaps we find it funny because we know that it is harmless comedy and think that both these men do not feel any malice towards Black women. Either way, both of these men have garnered much fame and success from their interpretations of the Black woman.

So what about when a White man decides to jump on the band wagon and join them in this comedy routine?  Does the ‘it’s just jokes’ disclaimer get extended to him as well? Comedienne and professional drag queen Chuck Knipp thinks that it should. He has cultivated his own version of Black woman drag queen comedy under the titles ‘Shirley Q. Liquor’ and ‘Betty Butterfield.’ Knipp’s portrayal of a Black woman is causing a stir for some because he is a White man from Canada. People question whether or not these are just jokes or if he is really a racist White man that is using his drag routine to disrespect Black women. This doubt has launched people to launch campaigns against the comedian.

I have seen a few of Knipp’s routines and I was not extremely impressed by him. Not so much because I think he is racist but because I did not think that his portrayal was very funny. Still, the bigger question at hand is whether there should be a double standard? Should Black people be the only ones allowed to poke fun at other Black people? If so, should Black women be off limits? Should there be limitations to the comedy routine? Even I have mixed emotions about this topic at this time and am undecided.  After all, Tyler Perry’s portrayal of a gun totting, sassy mouthed, argumentative, temperamental Black woman is accepted by many. His millions prove that.

One qualm I do have with Knipp is the fact that he chose to name his character ‘Shirley Q Liquor’. Why did the name have to be so… ghetto and trashy. Surely he could have thought of another name that reflected his sassy portrayal of a Black woman.

The widow of Bernie Mac has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Chicago against the late comedian’s longtime doctor claiming negligence.

Rhonda McCullough alleges that a few weeks before Mac’s 2008 death, dermatologist Rene M. Earles didn’t recognize indications of respiratory failure and kept the 50-year-old Chicago native at the clinic for several hours rather than call an ambulance.

The suit, filed last week in Cook County Circuit Court, claims Earles “failed to recognize cardiopulmonary instability in Bernie” and “failed to recognize and act upon abnormal vital signs and signs of respiratory failure” during that July visit to his clinic.

“He walked in, he looked a little weak and I said, ‘Bernie what’s wrong?’ and he said, ‘I had a little cold and a doctor at Northwestern gave me an injection for it.’ “

Earles didn’t know what the injection was for, but he didn’t believe Mac was in good enough shape to undergo therapy to treat lesions on his head, face and neck caused by his inflammatory lung disease, sarcoidosis. For the last 20 years, Earles said he had treated the lesions — involving injecting medications into the skin — regularly, sometimes weekly.

Bernie arrived at the clinic about 2:30 p.m. and, Earles recalls, he gave him oxygen and let him sleep until about 6:30 p.m. After that, Earles recalled giving Mac a physical exam that determined the actor had a “low-grade fever, was

wheezing, was breaking out in a rash, and his heart started beating faster.”

“It seemed to me he was having a drug reaction to whatever the doctor gave him at Northwestern that day,” Earles said.

He then stabilized Mac, giving him medications to stop the drug reactions. During that time, Earles said he called Mac’s doctor either at or affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital, who revealed Mac had been diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia — that is, pneumonia in both lungs, Earles said.

The doctor, Earles recalled, believed Mac was to be admitted to the hospital. Earles got off the phone and went straight to his patient.

“I said ‘Bernie, get up, you’ve got to go to the hospital,’ ” Earles said.

Mac was able to walk out of the clinic, just after 10 p.m., and climbed into a chauffeur-driven vehicle that whisked him to the hospital, Earles said.

Mac, whose given name was Bernard McCullough, died from complications related to pneumonia on Aug. 9, 2008, at age 50.

Earles said he doesn’t know how to respond to negligence accusations in the suit because he believed he took good care of Mac.

“He didn’t die the next day, he didn’t die in two days. He died in two weeks and he got over his original strain of pneumonia. He got another strain of pneumonia while he was in the hospital.”

Mac’s wife is seeking at least $50,000.

Today was a time of reflection and honor for comedian Mike Epps. The Mayor Greg Ballard of Indianapolis awarded him the Key to the city along with the Expo committee honoring him with an award for Entertainer of The Year! Epps is originally from the East side Indianapolis and is active in his old community and city all year round.

“There are many people who leave this city and never look back but there few extraordinary individuals who never forget there roots” Mayor Ballard when speaking on Epps

“If anybody want to use me as a puppet to be instrumental to some kids…I’m available” Mike Epps said. He also reflects on his days as a youth and thanks his parents and siblings for his path to success and the person he is today.

Katt Williams made headlines over the weekend for an alleged burglary in which he’s accused of taking nearly $4,000 worth of jewelry and collectible coins from a suburban Atlanta home, but another unrelated incident involving the comedian recently surfaced. A 17-year-old claims Williams held him and “threatened” to beat him up if he left the Newman, Ga., estate where Williams lives. Officials stated that the ‘Wild ‘N Out’ star will not be charged for the incident. Check out the teen’s 911 call here.
