NBC’s police-drama Law & Order SVU actress, Mariska Hargitay, who plays Detective Olivia Benson, has a new addition to her family. Her and her husband just adopted a beautiful African American baby girl they named Amaya Josephine. Mariska says she is deliriously happy.
While I’m sure there will be plenty of haters that will question her adopting an African American baby, I’m happy for her. Personally, I’m more concerned with an adoptive child/baby having a loving home with parents that will be there to love and guide them and teach them tolerance and compassion from the ignorance they will undoubtedly deal with growing up. I wish Mariska and her “FAMILY” (no matter what color) all the best. (read more)
