On Friday’s Tom Joyner Morning Show, heard on Soul 106.3 in Chicago, Tyler Perry promised to donate $98,000 and get Pastor Corey Brooks off the roof. It was Tyler Perry’s “Good Deed” for the Chicago community.
Pastor Brooks began his campout in a rooftop tent of an old, abandoned hotel just before Thanksgiving. For three months, he remained. Waiting and praying for change. Asking for donations to tear down the old hotel and rebuild it into a youth community center.
On Friday, February 24, 2012 at 6pm CT, Pastor Corey Brooks will come off that roof.
A man of God with a strong faith and a committed heart, Pastor Brooks made a difference. One good deed deserves another and Tyler Perry helped make that difference.
