Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds is a contender to join the Songwriters Hall of Fame. On Thursday, the organization announced its list of nominees for next year’s class of inductees. Among Babyface’s songwriting credits are the Grammy winning songs “End of the Road” and “I’ll Make Love to You” by Boyz II Men, as well as Whitney Houston’s “Exhale.” Others that are nominated include,Gloria Estefan, Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, Cyndi Lauper and Yusuf Islam, as well as the country music stars Vince Gill and Toby Keith. The songwriters who make the cut will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame during a ceremony in June in New York City.
