It looks like Robin Thicke won’t be getting his girl back. TMZ reports that actress Paula Patton is making their split official by filing for divorce. The site says Paula has filed the papers in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for joint legal and physical custody of their young son Julian. Sources describe the divorce as “harmonious.” Robin and Paula separated early this year. The singer made headlines at the time for his very public pleas to win back his high school sweetheart, even naming a whole album after her.
Paula’s filing comes on the heels of the news that Robin was dealing with an alcohol and prescription pill problem for most of 2013. His personal issues went public last month when he admitted them in a deposition for a lawsuit.
