Some of the largest manufacturers of soda in the U.S. have a plan to cut drink calories by 20 percent in ten years. This means your Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper and even Snapple could lighten up. The American Beverage Association announced the plan at the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York on Tuesday. The group of soda makers plans to reach its goal by 2025 through education, marketing and packaging. They did not say that they were changing the formulas of any of their beverages. Some of the education includes encouraging consumers of their products to drink smaller portions instead of super-sizing.
