Toni Braxton has signed on to portray Darlene Love in the biopic, “20 Feet From Stardom” the new film project Oprah Winfrey’s OWN is developing. Darlene Love is best known for her lead vocals on The crystals’ hit “He’s A Rebel.” The movie is based on her memoir, “My Name Is Love” which was published in paperback last year.
Love, Winfrey, and “20 Feet” director Morgan Neville are serving as executive directors for the TV project, which will be the first original, scripted film produced by the OWN network.
