“Straight Outta Compton,” the N.W.A. movie that we have all been waiting for is getting closer and according to “Hollywood Reporter,” Ice Cub has signed on Jonathan Herman to write the film. Ice Cube and Eazy-E’s widow, Tomica Woods, are set to produce the movie. Dr. Dre’s Crucial Films productions will also have a hand in it along with Universal Pictures.
The biopic will take place in Compton, C.A. (where else?) and tell the story of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, MC Ren and Arabian Prince and how the epic group came together and rose to stardom.
