Keke, Palmer, the 19-year-old actress and singer, who was born Lauren Keyana Palmer, has had a successful career playing starring roles in the Nickelodeon sitcom “True Jackson” and films “Akeelah and the Bee” and “Joyful Noise.”
Now ,the young starlet has been tapped to play Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas in VH1’s upcoming biopic about the iconic group TLC, along with Lil Mama in the role of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Drew Sidora as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins.
When the casting was announced, social media had something to say. I mean, hey…it’s the Internet, right?
People voiced opinions about the casting being wrong for a multitude of reasons from Palmer not resembling Chilli enough to the fact that she hasn’t been cast in many adult roles…and a lot of it got back to Keke, because she took to her Twitter to answer her detractors.
