US Weekly is reporting that Toni Braxton has been hospitalized in Los Angeles with complications relating to the autoimmune disease Lupus.

The “Unbreak My Heart” singer, 45, broke the news in a tweet to her 670,000 followers on Twitter on Friday, Dec. 7.

“Hey guys, I’m in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & blood clots,” she shared on the micro-blogging site. “I will be home soon…Thanks for all the love & support!”

Braxton — who stars in the WE TV reality show Braxton Family Values — has been vocal about her family history with Lupus in the past and recently told 20/20 that the disease pushed her into bankruptcy. Her uncle died from complications of the condition several years ago, and her brother suffers from it, as well. The star revealed her own diagnosis in 2010, while accepting a Woman in Achievement award from the 8th Annual Lupus L.A. Bag Ladies Luncheon.

“Today, I’m going to talk about it because I’m a survivor and I’m here, and I don’t want to lose hope,” she said in her speech. “Take a look — this is what lupus looks like.”
