Now that Lauryn Hill has come back to society, stories from her past are starting to resurface.
During the Fugees shining moment, group members Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean had an affair that almost ended his marriage. When the group broke up in 1997 leaving fans wondering what happened, Wyclef kept silent for a few months until he revealed the two were sleeping together.
Years later, fans find out there’s more to the story.
Wyclef says Lauryn Hill also lied and said the child she was carrying at the time was his. Ouch…
He wrote in his autobiography:
“In that moment something died between us. I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t forgive that,” Jean writes in “Purpose. (The Post got a first look yesterday).
