If you haven’t yet checked out “Verses and Flow” on TV One, you’re missing out. The show, which debuted it’s second season last month, combines music and poetry for a unique mix that’s hard to find elsewhere on television. Actor Omari Hardwick of “For Colored Girls” and “I Will Follow” fame, who himself is a spoken word artist, is the host. Recent guests have included singers Macy Gray, Eric Benet and poets Super B, Sonya Renee and Edwin Bondy.

Shows featuring Elle Varner and Chrisette Michele are coming up with poets Marcus Omari and Queen Sheba performing, among others. Next Monday, Grammy nominee Tank leads off the musical portion of the show joined by poets Clint Smith, Treesje and Kataalyst Alcindor.
